Fannie Lee
Fannie Lee is a first-generation Chinese American fiber artist,
born in New York City. She studied weaving at Kent State University,
and later attended Syracuse University for graduate work, studying
fiber sculpture. Her fiber work has been exhibited in both
local and national shows. Private and corporate collectors
commission many of her works.
For the last ten years, her large scale work has evolved into
intimate fiber collages. Lee's work creates imagery using fiber
texture, which reflects layers of memories. The fiber collage
of her recent work is the result of an on-going process of
inner revelation.
