Numyi Lee was born and grew up in the countryside of Korea. She received a BFA in 1987 and a teaching certificate from Hyosung Women’s University, Korea. In 1996 Lee received an MA from Long Island University, New York. She has received many awards and has exhibited her work in major galleries and museums in Korea and the USA. Painting is her expression of being alive, a mirror of herself and a form of meditation.
