Fannie Lee
Fannie Lee is a first–generation, Chinese-American fiber artist.
Fannie was born in New York City. She studied weaving at Kent State University,
and later attended Syracuse University for graduate work, studying fiber
sculpture. Her fiber work has been exhibited in both local and national
shows. Private and corporate collectors commissioned many of her works.
For the last ten years, her large-scale work has evolved into intimate
fiber collages. Lee’s work creates imagery using fiber texture to
represent layers of memories. Her recent fiber collage work is the result
of an on–going process of inner revelation.
