I am indebted to many of our current members who unselfishly volunteered time and energy to all phases of our undertaking in order to make this exhibition possible. Special thanks to the following members: Michelle Chung-Jui Liu for lending her creativity to the design of the invitation; Candace Hsiao who is instrumental in putting our first online catalog together; Terumi Kaneyasu for her unrelenting support; the curatorial committee-Chie Nishio, Ellen Hsiao and Paula DeLuccia, who work with me to select artwork for the exhibit; Sarah Strong for her editorial assistance; and Eric Alberts and Sun Han for their assistance with installing the show.

A special thanks goes to Phoenix Gallery who supported us by being a conduit for the grant application to the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and consequently secured the funding we needed for the exhibition.

Without the generous funding from the Fund for Creative Communities/New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program, administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, this exhibition could not have been realized.

Finally, I would like to comment that this exhibition catalog is produced not only for the documentation of AAWAA's efforts in supporting underrepresented women artists, but also is created as a literary forum for the Asian American women's experience.
