"In the Midst of Things"

The Asian American Women Artists Alliance (AAWAA) was pleased to present, as part of Cool New York Winter Festival hosted by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Mayor Bloomberg, an exhibition that features 11 artists and showcases 30 artwork of paintings, watercolors and handmade sculptures; the Lunar New Year Celebration featured a New Year Dumpling Workshop and Lion Dance. AAWAA welcomed the year of Monkey on the same day of the exhibition opening reception, Saturday, January 24, 1-6 PM. A performance of Lion Dance by the Golden Lion Club features Chinatown high school students and professionals.
