Free Shadow Puppet Workshops for public school students

May 25 and May 26, 2006 AAWAA presented five "Free Shadow Puppet Workshops for public school students". Using traditional Chinese Cut-paper design and collage technique for the creation of Shadow Puppetry. Taught by artist Song Xin and Helen Lin. Photos of the event can be found here.

Eat Art 8

On Saturday, December 4, 2005, "Eat Art 8" took place: a conglomeration of visual delights, taste, eat, fun, humor, and metaphor featuring a wide selection of delectable and edible food Art.

Tunnels and Bridges

From November 1 to 26, 2005, AAWAA presented "Tunnels and Bridges".

Here Between

From June 23 to July 17, 2005, AAWAA presented "Here Between". This exhibition examined the multicultural facets of the artists' experience of living between two worlds, and sharing a common struggle to preserve their heritage in an ever-changing American culture.
At the opening, a Tai Chi demonstration performed by Kwok Kay Choey. Master Choey performs the Yang Style Tai Chi with fluid movement and dignified forms. Also features Chinese folk music played by members of The Chinese Music Ensemble of New York.
The participated artists were Jacie Lee Almira, Paula DeLuccia, Tomoko Fujiki, Suejin Jo, Hee Jung Kim, Whieza Kim, Seung Yeon Kim, Yan Kong, Numyi Lee, Helen Lin, Yi Jun Sun and more.
